Hola! I once heard that a garden begins with a single seed, just as healing begins with one step. You’ve already taken the first step. I will be honored to continue this journey with you. I am a bilingual Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor with roots in Mexico and a deep love for community, nature, and holistic healing. My journey into mental health began with a deep belief that true healing happens when we honor the connection between the mind, body, spirit, and our relationships. I often use the image of a table to describe this balance—each leg represents one essential part of our well-being: our physical health, mental and emotional state, spiritual life, and connection to others. When one leg is missing or shorter than the others, the table becomes unstable. In the same way, when one area of your life feels off, everything else can be affected. My hope is to walk alongside you as you find your balance again—so you can feel steady, whole, and supported in your journey.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where I began my journey in mental health. Early in my career, I supported individuals navigating domestic violence—both survivors and perpetrators—as well as survivors of sexual assault. I also maintained a private practice during this time. After relocating to Texas, I completed a Master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Texas at Brownsville, a CACREP-accredited program that strengthened my clinical foundation. Throughout my graduate studies, I worked with unaccompanied minors and their families, supported individuals through grief and loss, and provided counseling for couples. My experience also includes working with clients facing substance use disorders, co-occurring diagnoses, eating disorders, and survivors of sex trafficking.
As a therapist, I offer an integrative and trauma-informed approach rooted in strength- based techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, and Somatic Experiencing. I believe therapy is a collaborative and sacred space where every person’s story deserves to be seen, heard, and honored.
A cornerstone of my work is care farming—a therapeutic model that uses agricultural activities, connection with animals, and nature to support emotional regulation, social connection, and healing from trauma. I offer the option to hold sessions on a local farm where people can experience the grounding rhythms of the land, and the restorative power of nature. This setting allows for deep reflection, regulation, and reconnection in a way that traditional settings may not provide.
My counseling practice is also deeply influenced by my Christian faith, which continues to shape the way I view healing—as a holistic, grace-filled process that embraces transformation and connection. I am passionate about supporting young and older adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, eating disorders, depression, family issues, relational and/or cultural transitions and spiritual healing. If you are seeking a space where healing feels natural, relational, and rooted in connection—with yourself, with others, and with the land—I would be honored to walk alongside you. Whether we sit in a quiet room or listen to the soft rhythm of farm life, you are welcome just as you are. Corazón abierto (open heart), dusty boots and a soul ready to bloom — together, we will sow the seeds of healing and watch what grows.
Outside of my professional life, you will find me cooking and baking, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. Being on the farm brings me peace, and I often draw inspiration from the land in my work. I also enjoy listening to thought-provoking podcasts like In the Light with Dr. Anita Phillips, No-Till Flowers, and Therapy; Theology or reading fiction novels, one of my favorite authors is Tessa Afshar.
